CJC-1295

Also known as CJC-1295 with DAC · CJC-1295 no DAC · Mod GRF 1-29 · ModGRF · DAC

Growth hormone secretagogue (GHRH analog)Evidence tier D

“CJC-1295” actually refers to two different peptides, which causes a lot of confusion. CJC-1295 with DAC is built to stick to a blood protein, so it releases growth hormone slowly over days. CJC-1295 without DAC (also called Mod GRF 1-29) clears the body quickly, more like a short pulse. The two behave differently in the body, despite sharing a name.

Neither version has a completed human trial for tendon healing, muscle repair, or injury recovery. What human data exists describes how the compound moves through the bloodstream (its pharmacokinetics) — not what it does for a healing tendon.

Interest in stimulating this hormone pathway comes mostly from animal and lab studies. That interest does not amount to a demonstrated recovery benefit in people, for either form of CJC-1295.

On Reddit and X, users describe a predictable cluster of effects tied to raising growth hormone: flushing shortly after a dose, water retention, and tingling or numbness in the hands that some compare to carpal tunnel syndrome. Reports split by form — users describe the long-acting “with DAC” version as causing stronger, longer-lasting effects, including disrupted sleep, while the short-acting “no DAC” version is described as milder. One self-tracked experiment with wearable sleep data, posted on X, found CJC-1295 with DAC reduced REM and deep sleep rather than improving it. Users also raise a longer-term concern, without proof: because CJC-1295 raises IGF-1, a growth factor, some worry sustained use could feed an undetected tumor.

These are unverified, self-selected reports, and product purity varies a lot between sellers, which can confound what looks like a side effect. Users almost always stack CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin or another peptide, which makes it hard to attribute any single effect to CJC-1295 alone.
